Library Media Specialist
Sarah is originally from Milton, Ontario in Canada where she received a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in literacy instruction and development from Queen’s University. She later went on to complete a Masters of Science at the State University of New York in Buffalo. After doing some teaching in Canada, Sarah began her international teaching career at the American School of Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico and has been teaching internationally ever since. She has taught in Canada, Mexico, Italy and has now Sweden where she completed a Master of Social Science in Child Studies focusing on improving policies and practices related to international school children at Linköping University. Sarah has been working at SIS since 2014 within the Early Years department as a Kindergarten Teacher and now as the Library Media Specialist for Preschool to Grade 7. Sarah is passionate about the power of literacy and can’t wait to show you some new and exciting resources in the Library Media Center!
